Hurr... not much to report on this matter...

Except for the fact that I'm now a HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE! SMEEEEEargle!!! *gunned down with a tranquilizer*

--------

Seriously, though... I never expected for this day to actually arrive. You see, back in middle school at Milwaukee School of Languages (*cringe*), I used to get picked on and get in trouble almost three times daily, and I'm not even making this up. That kind of rotten luck sent most of my grades down the crapper. It's a miracle I managed to get to High School...

Then, the moving around started. I was in the 9th grade. From there, I moved to Puerto Rico for a while; let me tell you now, the schools there were even worse than MSL. I only stayed at one school there for a little while, though I managed to get some credits in. Then, I decided to move in with my aunt in New York, to help out my grandmother who was ill at the time. Unfortunately, she passed away a few months after... I still miss her to this day. ._.

I did go to school even there; there was a High School in the Bronx Community College. I managed to get some more credits there; the only class I failed was English. Algebra was pretty easy, Social Studies was hard, but I pulled through... Anatomy was awesome, and my only Music course was even more so. I even participated in a little in-school orchestra (I played the congas)! But a while after, my mom decided to ship me off back to Puerto Rico again.

Things went downhill again. I went to another school in Corozal; Emilio R. Delgado HS, I think it was. Anyway, for a while I was doing good on my work, but the atmosphere made it more and more difficult as time went by. I managed to get promoted to the 10th grade, though. After a long while, I was invited by my aunt to move in with her again; this time in Connecticut. Things were alright for the first few days, but some events arose there that completely killed my self-confidence and a bit of my dignity (I'll not discuss it right now). Mom found out and I was sent back to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to live with her. I've been there ever since.

Living conditions are definitely not the best, but the school I went to was like a dream come true. Wings Academy, a school for students who learn differently, was the perfect thing I needed to help me gain my happy-go-lucky demeanor back. I've had such an awesome time there. I've had a few downs there, sure, but they didn't matter. The teachers were just superb, and most of the students quickly warmed up to me, and I returned the favor as well.

With just a tiny bit of luck, and a whole lot of determination and support, I finally completed High School, something that my sister didn't get to accomplish, and she was supposed to back in the MSL days. Now comes the hard part; going to college. Wings is still going to stay in touch with me to help me on this matter, and I truly appreciate that and everything else that school has done for me... *sigh* If only I could've stayed there longer... I'm going to miss that school. Sure, I can come back to visit occasionally, but it won't feel the same... ._.

...but I can't focus on the past. Reminiscing is nice, but it's time for me to move on. I'm no longer a teen nor a high schooler. It's time I act like a responsible adult now.

(...this is going to be one hell of a road trip...)

I apologize for the essay of a journal this turned out to be... I didn't expect it to be so long... ^^;

Until next time, fellow dA comrades! :salute:

Congratulations, hon... <3 and remember, you have always been an adult to me, even if you were always silly old you. ^^

As a friend of mine once said, You can grow old, but you don't have to grow up.

There's one step left for you to take on this sidewalk of life, Yosh. You already said what it was, and I'm sure you know just how much all of your experiences at MSL, Bronx, in Corozal and now Wings will help you. Never forget the times you had, good or bad... because they make us who we are inside.

... I love you. *hugs* If ever you need a hand with anything, throw me a note or a letter, and I will try my hardest ^.=.^
